Love UR Community Network
Love UR Community Network, LURC.net is a philanthropic collective established in support of local non-profit organizations making notable effective change. Generous donations are distributed to carefully vetted agencies selected on an annual basis. In collaboration with the Chapel of the Chimes and NAACP, Oakland Branch, we support and honor these local groups through special event fundraising that showcase local entrepreneurs. These fundraising efforts benefit college bound youth, at risk young adults and under-served men and women of the diverse social economic communities around the greater Bay Area.
Oakland Branch College Bound Youth Programming
The vision of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Youth and College Division is to ensure a society in which all individuals have equal rights without discrimination based on race by developing a New Generation of Civil Rights and Community Leaders.
For over 80 years, the NAACP Youth and College Division has been on of the largest organized groups of young people in any secular organization in the country. This Division has grown to have more than 25.000 young people, under the age of 25 actively involved in the fight for civil rights. The NAACP has over 550 Junior Youth Councils.
Domestic Violence & Sexual Exploitation
Founded in 2008, Progressive Transition(s), Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, recognized the fact that violence against women is a critical public health, mental health, and women’s health issue.
Progressive Transition(s) was founded on the premise that people need a safe place where people understand and are allowed to grow, grieve and heal in a positive environment. We advocate for our clients in the surrounding communities by working to erase the stigmas attached to victimization and we embrace inclusion for all.
At Risk Youth Diversion
RPI is committed to growing and adapting services to meet the ever changing needs of at risk youth and young adults. Our goal is to provide comprehensive services aimed at enhancing personal and social responsibility, job preparedness and interpersonal skills which promote success.
In addition to RPI’s in-house programs and services, we have a successful track record partnering with agencies and organizations that help youth change distressing thoughts, feelings and behaviors and ultimately become whole and healthy individuals.
